Women
prizes The three women prizes will be awarded to the three highest ranked women not qualified for the final steps. Youth prize The youth prize will be awarded to the highest ranked youth player not qualified for the final steps and not awarded any of the women prizes. Youth players are defined as players born in 1993 or later. German tax regulations As a consequence of the German tax regulations, there will be a tax on prize money for non-German participants, unless the total prize money won in the tournament does not exceed a total of 250 €. The tax is 15,825% and will be deducted from the prizes by the organizer. Anyhow, the tax can be refunded at the end of the year under certain circumstances. All participants will be obliged to fill in a form provided by the organizer to meet the needs of the tax authorities. |

Qualification 6 games (entries and re-entries) Desperado squad 1 game 48 players will qualify for the final steps A: The winner of each qualification squads (maximum 12) B: Top 32+ from the general standing C: Top 4 from the desperado standing A player can only qualify from a qualification squad, if the player is not already qualified from another qualification squad or from the general standing. Therefore, players positioned 33-NN will qualify from the general standing, supplementing double squad winners and players qualified both from A and B, as many as needed to reach a total of 44 players from A+B Seeding for the Final step 1-3 Players positioned 1-8 in the general standing are qualified for the final step 3 Players positioned 9-16 in the general standing are qualified for the final step 2 All other qualified players are qualified for the final step 1 Final step 1 32 players will play 4 games starting from scratch Players positioned 1-16 are qualified for the final step 2 Players positioned 17-32 will be ranked 33-48 according to their positions in the final step 1. Final step 2 24 players will play 4 games starting from scratch Players positioned 1-12 are qualified for the final step 3 positioned 13-24 will be ranked 21-32 according to their positions in the final step 2 Final Step 3 20 players will play 4 games starting from scratch Players positioned 1-8 are qualified for the final step 4, seeded 1-8 according to their positions in the final step 3. Players positioned 9-20 will be ranked 9-20 according to their positions in the final step 3 Matches in the final step 4-6 In all matches the highest seeded player will meet the lowest seeded player, the second highest seeded player will meet the second lowest seeded player etc. All matches will be played over 2 games, total pin fall to count Final step 4 4 matches The 4 winners will continue to the final step 5 The 4 losers will be ranked 5-8 according to their seeding Final step 5 2 matches The 2 winners will continue to the final step 6 The 2 losers will be ranked 3-4 according to their seeding Final step 6 1 match The loser will be ranked 2 The winner will be ranked 1 |
| Tournament tie rules |

Qualification In case of a tie, the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest last game. If a tie still exists the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest second last game, then the player with the highest third last game etc. Desperado In case of a tie, the highest positioned player will be the player with the highest position after the qualification. Final Steps 1-3 In case of a tie, the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest last game. If a tie still exists the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest second last game, then the player with the highest third last game etc. Final Steps 4-6 In case of a tie in any match, a one ball roll off on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken. |

A maximum of three squads per person can be booked before the tournament
starts and maximum two of these bookings can be for squads on Friday and
Saturday Group bookings require the names of the players to be delivered latest on 28 February 2011. Name changes after the deadline will be considered as cancellations and new bookings. Not meeting that deadline for the delivery of names means that the booking is considered as completely cancelled |

The Dream-Bowl Palace will be the site of the European Youth Championships
in April 2011 and of the European Men Championships in June 2011. As far as possible, we will try to present similar conditions as they will be found at the European Championships, so the Dream Bowl Palace Open are the best preparation possible for players taking part in these events and a challenge for everybody. For all participants, a free shuttle service between the airport, the Dream-Bowl Palace and the official hotel will be provided upon request. |
