As a consequence of the Finnish tax regulations, there will be a tax on
prize money for non-Finnish participants. The tax, which is 15% of any
prize, will be deducted from the prizes by the organizer. Anyhow, an exception exists for US citizens competing in Finland, since their income is free from Finnish tax, if the total of one persons income does not exceed 20.000 USD over the tax year. If this limit is passed, then the whole sum is liable to taxation. |

In the first 15 rounds, each of the 16 players will be matched against all other 15 players, while round 16 is a one game position round, where the standing after 23 games will decide the matching as follows: the player at position 1 vs. the player at position 2, the player at position 3 vs. the player at position 4 etc. until position 15 vs. position 16. After the conclusion of each match in all 16 rounds, bonus points will be added to the score total as follows: 30 points for a won match and 15 points for a tied match. The standing after the final step 2 is an accumulated total of the score of the 8 games in step 1, the score of the 16 games in step 2 and all won bonus points in the Round Robin matches. Qualification and the final step 1-2 In case of a tie the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest last game. If a tie still exists the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest second last game, then the player with the highest third last game etc. When games are compared in the final step 2, bonus points won in the matches are not taken into consideration. The final step 3 In case of a tie in a match in the final step 3, a one ball roll off on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken Desperado squad In case of tie in the desperado squad, the highest positioned player will be the player with the highest position after the qualification. |

The Brunswick Ballmaster Open 300eXtra |
|
The Brunswick Ballmaster Open 300eXtra is open only for all Brunswick
Ballmaster Open participants. The winner will be the player, who, among the entered players in the Brunswick Ballmaster Open 300eXtra, bowls a 300 game or, in case of more 300 games bowled, the winner of the roll off shots (see below). The entry fee for entering into the Brunswick Ballmaster Open 300eXtra is 50. This fee covers all games played (including games in later played re-entries and final steps) as of the squad, where the fee is paid. Eventually games played before the player enters the Brunswick Ballmaster Open 300eXtra are not valid in the competition. If no 300 games is made by entering players 1.000 will be awarded to the entered player scoring the highest game. The rest of the prize money collected will be carried forward to next years Brunswick Ballmaster Open 300eXtra pruze pool. If one or more 300 games are made by entering players The prize will be minimum 3.000 and maximum 10.000. In the interval 1-70 entered players, the prize will be 3.000. For each player higher than 70 players, 50 will be added to the prize, i.e. 3.050 at 71 players, 3.100 at 72 players, 3.150 at 73 players, until 9.950 at 209 players. For 210 players or higher the prize will be 10.000. Tie rules In case of more than one 300 game played by entered players, a one ball roll off with a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken. If more than two bowlers takes part in the roll off and there is a tie in the roll off, only bowlers, who tie with the highest score, will continue to the next roll off. The roll off will be played after the TV finals of the Brunswick Ballmaster Open and on the TV-pair. The playing order will be chosen by the player who rolled the first 300 game. In case of further ties, the order will be reversed for each round. All players will shoot on the same lane. The lane will be chosen by the Tournament Director Sami Luoto. If there are more rounds in the roll off, the lane will be alternated on each round. Players have two practice balls on both lanes. Practice lanes will be available on a lane specified by the organizer before the roll off. If there are no 300 games in the competition, and if there is a tie in the highest game, the high game prize money will split.
